Frequently asked questions

How do I sign up?

Open Glimma on your iPhone and tap "Sign in with Apple" or "Continue with phone." We'll verify your identity and you're in — no passwords to remember.

How do I add friends?

Tap the + button on the home screen. You can invite friends from your contacts, by username, or by sharing a Glimma link.

Is Glimma free?

Yes — Glimma is free to download and the core experience is free forever. We also offer an optional Premium Expressions subscription that unlocks an extended library of expressive status emoji and original Glimma expression designs. Premium Expressions is available as a monthly or yearly subscription via the Apple App Store. You can manage or cancel it at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

How do I cancel my Premium Expressions subscription?

Open iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → tap GlimmaCancel Subscription. Your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

In the Glimma app, go to SettingsSubscriptionRestore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your data is permanently removed within 30 days. You can also email privacy@glimma.social.

Why does Glimma ask for contacts / calendar / microphone access?

Each permission is optional and enables a specific feature: contacts helps you invite friends, calendar helps detect scheduling conflicts, and microphone lets you send voice memos. You can grant or revoke each one in iOS Settings → Glimma at any time.

Is my data private?

Yes. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we encrypt your data in transit and at rest. Read our privacy policy for full details.

Found a bug?

Please email support@glimma.social with your iOS version, what you were doing, and a screenshot if possible. Bug reports help us improve fast.

Is Glimma available on Android?

Not yet — we're launching on iOS first. Android is on our roadmap.
